Racism All Over The World

Racism is the problem and cannot be solved until now. Racism is the activity that involves treating someone unfavorably because of a certain personal characteristics that different with theirs and he or she married to. Racism can happen in institution, office and etc. Racism mostly starts by a group of people.

Racism can be differentiating in many ways like religion, race, skin color, and etc. Internalized racism is lies within individuals, examples a belief that you or others are more or less intelligent. Interpersonal racism is occurs between individuals, examples racial slurs, hate crimes and so on. Institutional racism occurs in institutions or systems of power. An example a school system only concentrates people of skin color most crowded in school. Structural racism is racial bias among institutions and across society.

Besides that, racism happens because many people seem to have nurtured preconceived ideas about the other racial. The racially different person is viewed with threat and distrust. Besides that, some people think that black color identified with death, decay and the devil. This is because the superstitious practice, they believe that when a black cat crosses your path it is a sign of bad luck. So that, in this kind of preconceived notions will bring a wrong impression in the mind of people, and it causing them to adopt unfair ways of segregation (List Crux, 2014).

Moreover, racism brings a lot of effects to the world, especially the victim. One of the effects of racism is mental health (Mackenzie, 2016). The victim will feel fear, stress, depression, angry and anxiety due to they feel isolated from the world. It can destroy self-esteem of the victim and victim will have trouble to make friends with others. Besides that, racism will reduce the productivity of the person. The employee will afraid to go work on every day and lose the confidence to work in their working field. Therefore, the employee will get lower performance when the end of the month.

Last but not least, in today’s modern society, racism issues still exist yet we could not find a fair way of solving it which including the World Top Nation - America. For instance, black (African-Americans) fresh graduates are offered at a lower starting salary and less prestigious starting jobs (Mcelwee, 2015). It’s absolutely violating the human rights and proven that America is far away from repressing its racism issues. Moreover, there was an advertisement released by Intel, which deciphered as the white man is their boss and those African-Americans are still slaves. It’s overwhelming with the white ideologies that perceive African-Americans as second rate compared to whites.

In the conclusion, my group is strongly agreed that racism should not exist in this world. It is because we all are human beings and we have the same internal organs and same color of blood and so on. We are live in this different culture world and we should not against each other, stereotype each other because of the different from us.
